The Municipality of Hermosa solidified its reputation as a leader in public health, receiving the most number of Seal of Healthy Barangay awards across Bataan during the 3rd and 4th quarter awarding ceremony for 2024.
The event, held at The Bunker in Balanga City, was attended by prominent officials including Bataan Governor Joet Garcia, Sagip Partylist Congressman Rodante Marcoleta, Balanga City Mayor Francis Garcia, and Bataan Provincial Health Officer Dr. Rosanna Buccahan.
Hermosa barangays emerged as champions, each earning a cash prize of ₱100,000 for their exemplary health programs and initiatives.
The 3rd Quarter awardees include Barangays Almacen, A. Rivera, Burgos, Pulo, Sumalo, Sto. Cristo, Daungan, San Pedro, Palihan, and Culis.
Meanwhile, the 4th Quarter awardees are Barangays Mabiga, Pulo, Sto. Cristo, Daungan, San Pedro, Palihan, and Culis.
The recognition highlights Hermosa’s commitment to improving public health through collaborative efforts spearheaded by key local leaders and health officials, including Municipal Health Officer Dr. Warren Valencia, Councilor Luz Samaniego, and Nurse Marianne Mañago, the 1Bataan Seal of Healthy Barangay Program Coordinator.
Hermosa Mayor Jopet Inton expressed his gratitude to the barangay leaders, municipal staff, and health workers who played vital roles in achieving this milestone. “This success reflects the collective dedication and tireless efforts for the health and well-being of every Hermoseño,” he said.
The awards serve as a testament to Hermosa’s progress and continuous strive for excellence in public health, embodying its motto: “Sama-sama sa Paglipad ng Hermosa!”
